Sonarax’s ultrasonic connectivity can detect precise location and verify physical presence accurately - within 1 Ft / 30 cm with no dependency on an Internet or cellular connection. Sound waves are the only wireless connectivity medium that can be contained within a defined space.
Other wireless data communication mediums, such as WiFi or BT use radio waves (RF) which travel through dividers (walls, ceilings, floors) and cannot be contained.
Soundwaves, unlike radio-waves which are used by WiFi and BlueTooth, can naturally be contained within a specific location - think about cupping your hands over your mouth while whispering into someone’s ear, that sound is being confined and channelled from your hands towards the listening ear. So whether it is actual sound or data that must travel on sound waves, the same principle works. This natural quality of sound-waves together with our proprietary algorithms can pinpoint the whereabouts of any audio signal to a very precise location.
Ultrasonic positioning detection outperforms GPS by pinpointing location to an accuracy of a few square centimeters, thus enabling extraordinarily personalized services. With Sonarax embedded in your app, you can provide contactless Social Distances, ATM interactions, location-based triggering of user-specific content and services, and indoor wayfinding and navigation anywhere. The high degree of location precision also enables data collection and asset tracking if and when needed.
Sonarax verification happens between devices. It does not require transmitting data to servers, thus preventing hackers from the possibility of remote connection (via VPN for example). It is the most authentic verification for 2FA / SCA (Second Factor Authentication) security tokens.
Ultrasonic connectivity is the safest and most reliable token authentication available, because sound waves travel instantaneously and directly between devices without the need for manual human intervention. Unlike Bluetooth and NFC, a token becomes useless as soon as it is received (heard) by the partner device. No man-in-the-middle threats, or friendly frauds are possible.
An ultrasonic token has the required Second Factor Authentication (2FA or SCA). Sound always works as there are no false signals. All you need is a microphone or speaker which every mobile phone has no matter how old. The transaction is anonymous and private as no personal identification is exchanged and no data is recorded on any servers.
